How Does The TemBond® Work?

Small hair extension bundles comprised of single extension hairs with a density of about 1/4 of an inch are dipped into your TemBond® via a small warming pot.

The bundle is placed onto a slightly smaller section of your own hair. The bond is allowed to seep through all the hairs and dries within 3-7 seconds.

What hair extension strand by strand bonds look like

A small casing, or shell, forms in and around all the hairs holding the extension in its place.

The bond is extremely lightweight. Nothing in the bond “attaches” to your own hairs. It only creates a bond that holds the hairs in place, thus no damage, tearing at, or ripping the natural hair.

How Is The TemBond® Removed?

When you are ready to remove, the TemBond® is simply bent back and forth by hand. The bond crumbles, turns into small pieces which are simply combed and washed out.

The bond can also be removed with a hot hair-dryer or flat iron directly at, and on, the bonds. 2-3 shampoos should be all you need to remove the residue.

Residue that has become tangled in your own shed hairs over a long period of wear can be disintegrated by soaking some olive oil in the hair for a few hours or overnight. This is then washed from the hair using a degreasing agent (such as Dawn Dish Soap) and then shampoo and condition as you do regularly.  Your hair will be ready for your next install just like that!
