How long does it take to put hair extensions in?
Hair extension application time varies for each user and would depend on adding just volume to the hair, or volume and length. An average of 5-6 hours to apply your hair extensions should give you plenty of time to finish a full head process. I have heard of some doing this in as little as 3 hours, but the very small bonds placed correctly into a full head should take more like 5-6 hours or more even for your first time working with the hair extension kits.
Right away this seems like a long time but remember the time consuming strand-by-strand process of attaching the hair extensions will give you the most comfortable, most natural-looking, and longest lasting hair extension wear possible. Weft type methods of hair extensions can take a few hours to apply but you will be changing this every few weeks so the time installing really adds up over a 6 month period of time.
