Does this hair extension system work for African American hair?
Absolutely, it does! And if you can wear fusion bonds, you can wear these, too! The system works well on every texture of hair, from very fine to very coarse.

Can I use a conditioning oil or leave in conditioner on my natural hair before applying TemBond®? I am African American, and with a relaxer it is very important to not let my hair dry out.
You shouldn't have oils on the root area where you will apply. You should start with clean and dry hair for applying the extensions. If you need to have some moisture on the hair (so it won't dry out) then you should brush on a little corn starch at the attachment point before bonding.
Later, although conditioners and oils can be used on the hair, you'll want to keep the oils from soaking too long directly on the bonds themselves throughout your wear and until you are ready to remove.
Is there a method to apply a tract of weft using TemBond®?
There is not. It's been done but anytime I've experimented with alternate methods of installing with the TemBond®, I've had real messy results. It is recommended you use the TemBond® as instructed for optimal results.

Do you carry African American hair?
For straight textures, we carry a Remi Yaki hair (in Regal Remi) that is similar in texture to African American hair that has been chemically straightened. Curly textures are also available from a loose wave to a deeper, more curly to a tight, spiral texture. The Regal Remi is an excellent long lasting product which may last up to a year or so.
